INTRODUCTION;

Florence Crittenton provides short and long term residential care in a safe and secure environment.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The position of Direct Support Mentor provides stability and the framework needed for our youth residents to receive proper instruction and training. The Direct Support Mentor strives to build relationships with the residents and their families.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Possess a minimum of a high school education or GED. Additional education is preferred.
Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to complete a thorough background check
Minimum of one-year of experience in direct care preferred.
Must be 21 or older.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide a safe and nurturing environment for our youth in care, and act as a proper role model and advocate. Duties include skill development, residence upkeep, delivering youth to medical and educational appointments, administration of medications as per guidelines and assistance with education assignments.
Direct Support Professionals are also required to record information per all policies and state requirements, maintain positive and professional relationships with staff, residents and their families. You must also comply with all administrative and Program Service polies and procedures and be able to train at time of hire and throughout your employment.
